Centenary Pupils excel at the Matabeleland Junior Championship Swimming Gala.
The Matabeleland Junior Championship Swimming Gala was held at Petra College Junior Swimming pool on Sunday the 3rd of February. Several Centenary students representing various swimming clubs took part in the competition. Onesimus Ngwenya, Sibusiso Sibanda, Nsikelelo Sibanda, Angelo Gweredza, Nicholas Majoni, Nicole Machaya, Nathan Chibva and Nokutenda Paunganwa. All our swimmers did an amazing job and showed great enthusiasm, perseverance and determination while maintaining a positive attitude and good sportsmanship!
Nathan Chibva Gold 25m Breaststroke, silver in 25m Backstroke, Butterfly, 50m Freestyle and 100m Individual Medley. Onesimus Ngwenya Gold 100m Individual Medley, Silver 50m Butterfly, 50m Breaststroke , 50m Freestyle and Bronze 50m Backstroke.
Onesimus Ngwenya was victorious as the overall Boys 12 year old Matabeleland Champion and Nathan Chibva was the Runner-up Boys 10 year old Champion.
