Bulawayo Metropolitan Provincial Merit Awards – awarded to Centenary on Friday 28 July 2017
- Award for being the best performing school at Grade 7
- Obtaining a minimum of 80% pass rate in each of the subjects examined at Grade 7.
Centenary School – Imbizo District Annual Merit Awards held on the 14th July 2017 at the Academy of Music.
The school scooped 7 awards this year, for the 2016 Grade 7 ZIMSEC results, as we continue to strive for excellence! These are the awards outlined below:
• Merit Award – Minimum 80% pass rate in English, Ndebele, Maths and General Paper.
The school achieved 100% pass rate in all the 4 subjects
• Honours Awards – Minimum of 80% overall pass rate for 3 consecutive years
The school achieved a pass rate of above 80% in all the 4 subjects for the past 7 consecutive years.
• Overall Best Grade 7 Primary school – School with the highest % pass rate
Centenary school this year shared the Floating shield with Amazon and Maranatha SDA.
• Best Performing Primary school – School with 95% and above pass rate in each subject
The school received these awards in all the four subjects. (4 awards)
